| This project required the demolition and removal of an existing structure prior to the beginning of construction.
The site, although providing spectacular views, presented many challenges due to the proximity to other buildings, the steep slope of the lot and close shoreline. Temporary raised walkways had to be erected in order to access the area during construction. Great care was taken to preserve the natural surroundings during the construction process. The owners' vision was to create interior open spaces filled with natural light and views of the surrounding harbor, yet allowing for various interest areas of quiet meditation. |
