With a Design-Build project, E.L. Shea takes an active role in design process and also acts as the primary builder. For a typical Design-Build project, the builder accepts the sole point of responsibility, and the architect works under the builder. However, we have worked in several different capacities in this process, many times providing engineering services to an owner-selected architect. Our goal is to find a way in which the owner feels comfortable with both their building and design team, and recognizes all of the benefits that the Design-Build delivery method has to offer. |
